Dr. Haines and his amazing surgical crew have arrived in Myanmar to conduct free cataract removal surgeries for the region’s medically underserved!

Dr. Haines and his dedicated, inspiring surgical crew arrived in Myanmar on November 10th to begin their 2018 cataract-removal mission. There, they were joined by Dr. Haines’ counterpart, Thai ophthalmologist and long-time friend, Dr. Somsran Watanachote and her surgical team from Thailand.

Due to the Internet at the hospital having an inconsistent connection, we have not been able to get the details into the stories of the mission thus far. But we do have several fantastic photos to share! You can check these photos out below, or keep even more up-to-date on our Facebook page.
