How a very small donation = 1 Life Restored

Millions of people worldwide are blind due to cataract. There is no cure for cataract-blindness other than a surgery to remove the cataract-afflicted lens and to replace that lens with a new one. Unfortunately, there are all too many people in developing nations who are medically underserved, and therefore have to suffer the effects of cataract blindness.

But organizations like the Give Me Sight Foundation, and the tireless work of founder Dr. John Haines, make it possible for people to have hope for sight once again.

Did You Know?

Did you know that when Dr. Haines and his surgical team go on a mission (like the ones to Myanmar last November, and to Guatemala in January), they are partially equipped with donated supplies from healthcare companies? Furthermore, did you know that Dr. Haines personally pays for the flight and accommodations’ needs for himself and his surgical team?

When a very small donation = 1 Restored Life

What the above means is that the Give Me Sight Foundation, as a nonprofit, has almost no operating expenses. To boil it down even further, your donations to our cause go right to where they are needed most: restoring vision to the cataract-afflicted!
