The date of the event is Friday, December 22nd from 7-9PM and the venue will be the new and improved Shedd Institute. This concert is FREE and will feature two fantastic musical acts – the Strange Desserts (featuring Dr. Haines) and The Good Time Travelers!
General Admission seats in the balcony are free!
Yepp, you read correctly. Seats in the balcony area for this event are free! This is our way of thanking the community for its highly engaged involvement in helping us return the gift of sight to the medically underserved around the world. Please reserve only the tickets that you are sure to use for the concert. A waiting list will be generated after 350 seats are given away.

Reserved tables on the ground floor available for sponsors
Reserved seating on the ground floor is available for sponsors of this event. Reserved tables are closest to the stage and seat 4-people each. During the show, sponsors will be named and given a very special ‘thank you’. The donation requested for each sponsored table is $500. This donation is fully tax deductible and almost 100% of the proceeds will go towards giving the medically underserved the gift of sight.
For more information about sponsoring this event, and to book your reserved table, call The Eye Center at 541.683.2020. Simply tell the reception that you would like to sponsor the Night For Light event, leave your name and contact information, and a representative from the Give Me Sight Foundation will contact you to arrange the details.
Dr. Haines to make a special announcement
Dr. Haines will be making an important, special announcement at this event. This will involve the direction of the Give Me Sight Foundation with regard to future missions. We are excited at all the potentials our new direction will afford, and look forward to sharing the good news with you!
We will also welcome a special guest for the evening: Santa Claus! That’s right, Santa Claus will make an appearance with beautiful tidings and a special message for our guests in attendance at the Night For Light show.
There will be a no-host bar, which means that snacks and drinks are available at your individual expense.
